Why We Built Sorsa
The official X API has become increasingly restrictive and expensive — locking meaningful data access behind a $5,000/month paywall, enforcing slow approval processes, and throttling developers on lower-tier plans. We saw talented builders abandon projects, startups burn cash on overpriced endpoints, and researchers lose access to critical public data.
