Sorsa API is a read-only REST API for public X (Twitter) data, built by Scouts Labs Inc. Since 2022 we have served more than 5 billion requests for 2,000+ developers and 100+ companies, on one promise: public data access should be fast, flat-priced, and open to anyone with an API key.
We run the infrastructure that turns public X (Twitter) activity into clean, structured JSON: 40 endpoints covering tweets, advanced search, user profiles, followers, lists, communities, and action verification. One API key, flat per-request pricing, no OAuth and no approval process.
Developers wire it into dashboards, research pipelines, AI agents, and internal tools. Whatever gets built on top, our job stays the same: keep the data fast, complete, and affordable.
Sorsa did not start as a pivot or a weekend experiment. It started in 2022 as TweetScout API, a data backend built for crypto analytics teams that needed reliable X data when the official API could not provide it at a workable price. The product outgrew its niche: trading desks, AI labs, agencies, and indie developers kept arriving with the same problem and staying for the same reason. We rebranded to Sorsa to match what the product had become, a general-purpose X data API for every read-heavy workload.

Access to public X data kept getting harder for the people who needed it most. The official API bills every post and profile as a separate resource, caps monthly reads, requires OAuth and a developer-account application, and pushes serious volume into enterprise contracts that start around $42,000 a month. We watched builders abandon working products, researchers lose access to public data mid-study, and startups burn budgets on per-resource invoices they could not predict.
Sorsa exists to remove that wall. Public data should be accessible on transparent terms: a flat price per request, the same rate limit for an indie hacker as for an enterprise, and a setup that takes 3 minutes instead of an approval queue. Every write action (posting, liking, following, DMs) is intentionally disabled. This protects X from spam and automation abuse, and it protects you: nothing built on Sorsa can post, delete, or act on an account. Sorsa is strictly a data retrieval and verification API.
Our documentation lives in a single machine-readable file that any LLM can ingest in one pass, and our MCP server turns the API into native tools for Claude, Cursor, and any MCP client. AI agents are first-class users, not an afterthought.
We work with publicly available data only, the same data a browser or search engine can see. We do not access private accounts, DMs, or anything behind a login.
