Capabilities

From discovery to vetting, on public data

Discover by niche

Search creators by bio keywords and the topics they actually tweet about. Filter by follower tier, verification, location, and activity.

Vet on real engagement

Compute true engagement rate from real likes, replies, reposts, quotes, and views per tweet, not follower counts and not a proprietary score.

Catch fake followers

Use ground-truth signals like engagement-to-follower mismatch and follower-list quality to flag bots and bought engagement before you pay.

Inspect the audience

Pull a creator's real follower and following graph to judge audience quality, overlap, and reach.

Discovery

Find Twitter influencers by niche

Influencer discovery on Sorsa starts with two search endpoints. Use search-users to find accounts whose bios match your niche keywords, and search-tweets to surface the creators actually driving conversation around a topic, hashtag, or product. Twitter advanced-search operators (from:, hashtags, exact phrases, date ranges) are supported, so you can scope discovery as tightly as a campaign brief needs.

Every profile returns follower count, verification status, location, bio, account age, and post counts, so you can turn a raw result set into a clean shortlist: micro creators under 50,000 followers, verified accounts only, a single country, or only accounts active in the last 30 days. Enrich up to 100 profiles in one info-batch call, and read X Lists with list-members to tap curated, human-vetted niche communities.

Returns full profiles you filter by follower tier, verification, and location.

Vetting

Vet creators on real engagement, not vanity metrics

A large follower count says nothing about whether anyone is listening. Sorsa returns the metrics that do: likes, replies, reposts, quotes, bookmarks, and view counts on every tweet. Pull a creator's recent posts with user-tweets, or up to 100 specific tweets at once with tweet-info-bulk, and compute engagement rate two ways: against followers, or against actual views for an algorithm-aware number.

No black-box score is required. You work from the same public numbers the creator's audience sees, so your vetting is transparent and auditable, which matters when you are justifying spend to a client or a finance team.

Try it with zero setup using the free Engagement Calculator, or line two creators up side by side with Compare Users. For tweet and account analytics beyond creator vetting, see the Twitter Analytics API guide.

JSON

  "quote_count": 95,
  "view_count": 210000,
  "user": { "followers_count": 86000, "verified": true }
}

Engagement rate by followers is roughly 5.8%, by views roughly 2.4%. You decide which threshold a creator must clear.

Crypto · optional

Vetting Web3 KOLs? On top of the public metrics above, teams screening crypto creators can optionally layer in Sorsa's crypto-native influence signal: the Sorsa Score, plus a follower-category breakdown via the /top-followers and /followers-stats endpoints. It is crypto-only and entirely optional, so the transparent public-metric vetting above stays the default everywhere else. See the Sorsa Score and crypto analytics docs.

Fraud signals

Spot fake followers and inflated engagement

Bought followers and fake engagement are the fastest way to waste an influencer budget. Sorsa does not hand you a black-box authenticity score; it gives you the raw signals fraud detection is actually built on, so you set your own thresholds.

The strongest tell is mismatch: an account with two million followers averaging a few dozen likes per tweet is not what it claims to be, and you can compute that directly from follower count and recent-tweet engagement. To go deeper, pull the follower graph with followers (up to 200 profiles per page) and inspect it: brand-new accounts, default avatars, zero-tweet profiles, and lopsided following-to-follower ratios cluster around purchased audiences. Cross-check inflated view counts against likes and replies to catch bought impressions.

Run the same audience inspection to judge quality, not just fraud: how many of a creator's followers are verified, where they are located, and whether they are active accounts at all.

Red flags you can compute

  • Engagement-to-follower mismatch. Millions of followers, a few dozen likes per post.
  • Low-quality follower graph. Brand-new accounts, default avatars, zero tweets.
  • Lopsided ratios. Following far outstrips followers, or the reverse with no engagement.
  • View-versus-engagement anomalies. Huge view counts, almost no likes or replies.

Monitoring

Monitor live campaigns and brand mentions

Finding and vetting a creator is only half the job. Once a deal is signed, Sorsa keeps the partnership accountable. Track a signed creator's campaign posts over time with user-tweets, and watch brand mentions across X with mentions, narrowing by min_likes and a date range so you see the posts that matter instead of every stray reply.

Confirm the sponsored post actually went live: check-quoted verifies a required quote-tweet exists and check-comment verifies a required reply, so you can prove a creator met the brief before you release payment. Pull post metrics on a schedule to report real campaign performance back to a client. For end-to-end campaign and giveaway checks, see giveaway verification.

What you can watch

  • Campaign posts. Pull a signed creator's recent tweets and track metrics over time.
  • Brand mentions. Surface mentions filtered by min_likes and a date range.
  • Required quote-tweets. Confirm a sponsored quote actually went live.
  • Required replies. Verify a contracted comment was posted.

Positioning

Why teams use Sorsa for Twitter influencer data

What Sorsa is

  • The X-native data layer for influence. Deeper and fresher Twitter/X data than a general multiplatform database.
  • Read-only public access. Read any public profile, tweet, and follower list to find and vet creators.
  • Real public metrics. Accurate, real-time engagement and audience data you can audit.
  • Transparent, not scored. Influence is measured from public engagement you can verify.

What Sorsa is not

  • Not multi-platform. No Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Sorsa is the X piece of that stack, not the whole stack.
  • Not an outreach tool. You cannot post, DM, follow, or run outreach through Sorsa.
  • Not a contact database. No influencer emails or phone numbers. You handle outreach in your own tools.
  • Not a proprietary number. No opaque authenticity score to take on faith.

This focus is the point. You get deeper, fresher, and cheaper X data than a general multiplatform database, without paying for stale enrichment you will not use.

The pricing wedge

Flat per request, not per profile

Most influencer-marketing APIs bill per profile or per credit, and dedicated discovery plans often run into five figures per year. Sorsa charges a flat rate per request on every plan: $49/mo for 10,000 requests, $199/mo for 100,000, and $899/mo for 500,000, with the same 20 requests per second on all tiers. A single request can return up to 100 enriched profiles via info-batch or up to 200 followers via followers, so discovery and vetting at agency scale stay inexpensive and predictable. Against the official X API, that is up to 50 times cheaper for read-heavy work.

  • Enrich the shortlist · info-batch × 5 calls5

That is roughly 5% of the 10,000 requests on the $49 Starter plan, so the whole campaign fits inside the entry tier. On per-profile credit billing, the 500 vetted profiles alone can exhaust a monthly credit pack before discovery or fraud checks are even counted.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a Twitter influencer API?

A Twitter influencer API lets you find, vet, and monitor Twitter/X creators programmatically. Sorsa's read-only REST API returns public profile data, follower counts, verification status, and per-tweet engagement (likes, replies, reposts, quotes, and views), so you can build discovery and vetting into your own tools or workflows.

How do I find Twitter influencers by niche or keyword?

Use the search-users endpoint to match bio keywords and search-tweets to find the creators driving a given topic or hashtag, then filter results by follower tier, verification status, location, and recent activity to build a clean shortlist.

How does Sorsa measure influence?

Through real public engagement, not a proprietary score. You compute engagement rate from the actual likes, replies, reposts, quotes, and views on a creator's tweets, measured against followers or against views for an algorithm-aware number.

Can it detect fake followers and bots?

Sorsa exposes the ground-truth signals fraud detection is built on: engagement-to-follower mismatch, follower-list quality such as account age, default avatars and zero-tweet accounts, and view-versus-engagement anomalies. You set your own thresholds instead of trusting a black-box score.

Does Sorsa provide influencer emails or contact details?

No. Sorsa is a read-only public-data API, not a contact database. It gives you accurate engagement and audience data to find and vet creators, and you run outreach in your own tools.

Does it cover Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube?

No. Sorsa is X/Twitter only. It is the X-native data layer for influence, built to be the Twitter piece of a multiplatform stack.

How much does the Twitter influencer API cost?

Flat per-request pricing: $49/mo for 10,000 requests, $199/mo for 100,000, and $899/mo for 500,000, with 20 requests per second and every endpoint on all plans. Batch endpoints return up to 100 profiles or 200 followers per request.

Can I monitor influencers or track campaign posts?

Yes. Pull a signed creator's recent posts with user-tweets, watch brand mentions with mentions using min_likes and date-range filters, confirm a sponsored post went live with check-quoted and check-comment, and track post metrics over time to report campaign performance.
